The “Bridging the Divide: New Narratives for Climate Action” exhibition, organised by the Narratives Observatory Combating Disinformation in Europe Systemically (NODES) project, was held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg to encourage dialogue and bring together different perspectives on climate action through shared storytelling. Drawing on research from the first European Narratives Observatory, the exhibition highlighted the diverse viewpoints and foundational values of climate narrative communities.
The following video features contributions from hosting MEP Leire Pajín, along with co-hosts Magdalena Adamowicz MEP, Vytenis Andriukaitis MEP, Brando Benifei MEP, Klára Dobrev MEP, Lena Schilling MEP, and former MEP Patricia Lalonde. They emphasised the importance of combating disinformation and fostering trust to effectively address climate change. Additionally, Erika Staël von Holstein, Chief Executive Officer at Re-Imagine Europa, provided insights into the strategic direction of narrative building in Europe.
The event received support from several MEPs of S&D, EPP, and The Greens/EFA political groups and drew a notable attendance of stakeholders from civic society, research, and innovation organisations.
