Guido Caldarelli is a Full Professor of Theoretical Physics at UNIVE and his main scientific activity is the study of networks. Author of more than 200 publications on the subject and three books, Professor Caldarelli has been coordination a multitude of projects: coordinator of FET IP Project MULTIPLEX: Foundational Research on Multilevel Complex Networks and Systems (2012 – 2016); coordinator of FET OPEN Project FoC: Forecasting Financial Crises (2010 – 2014); coordinator of FET OPEN Project COSIN: Coevolution and Self Organisation in Complex Networks (2002 – 2005). In addition, Professor Caldarelli was the 5th President of the Complex Systems Society.
